From the Editor: The Little Publication That Could





Back in 1992, a couple of adventurous people from the Twin Cities — a salesman interested in metaphysics and an editor keen on writing about natural wellness — joined forces to start a newspaper to support a growing community of like-minded folks. They emphasized open-mindedness and vowed to be the only paper in the Upper Midwest where people of all beliefs, no matter how far out, could express themselves without judgment.
They asked the community to step with them — beyond the comfort zone, beyond the accepted norms — out onto the edge. And businesses and individuals throughout the Upper Midwest did just that. They gathered around this little publication that could and sustained it for nearly 20 years now.
While the size and format of The Edge has changed over the years, and the staffs have changed, it maintains the same commitment to a community of people who carry the flame for holistic living in their souls. These people are committed to sharing their truths about our personal opportunity to glean solutions to our problems from our soul wisdom, which supports us in living whole, balanced lives.
